Artist and Craftspeople Outreach

The vision is to develop a new “Business as Mission” (BAM) platform where local artists and artisans can gather and sell their work. This “BAM” will enable me to cultivate relationships within the artistic and craft community, reaching them with the good news. These individuals often sell their work online or rent tables in local parks and malls. Many of these artists and craft people are middle-aged people who are exploring the new opportunities to create art and be local entrepreneurs.

One significant challenge is finding a way to connect with local men, and I plan to focus on workshops geared to men, father/son classes, and promote more projects that may interest men, like furniture restoration.

· Create a platform that connects with local people and opens doors to share the good news with them.

· Provide an avenue to build relationships with men through focusing on woodcraft projects, workshops, restoring furniture, etc. - done mainly by men here

· Create workshops specifically for father and sons to reach out to men with families.

· Invite local believers to help lead or take part in the workshops to connect nonbelievers with local followers.

· Allow other local believers to become involved. For example, retired members of the fellowship can work a few days a week, connecting and reaching out to people, especially other women working in different stores.

· Provide a place for local Christian artist to sell their Christian themed work.

· Set up a tea corner for people to hang out and build relationships to share the good news.

· Provide a place to promote Central Asian art to connect with locals.

· Create a platform to reach out to and support university students via the arts.
